Objetivo: Verificar as propriedades dofeijão no emagrecimento.

ABSTRACT

Effects of white bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in weight loss

Introduction: The usual bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is a food widely used in brasilian cuisine. Aim: To investigate the properties of the beans in weight loss. Method: an integrative literature review. Results: Recent studies have pointed to the property to increase satiety and thereby decrease in body weight in animals and humans who consumed white bean flour, due to its high fiber, protein and the ability to inhibit alpha-amylase. Conclusion: There is need for further studies to better understand the obesity counter effects properties of white beans.
