Evaluating the ergogenic potential of coffee in performance of chinese boxing/sanda practioners
Abstract
The Sanda one branch of wushu which is based on punchs, kicks and projections making the capabilities like agility and strenght of the individual influence on his results on the combat being the caffeine a central neural system estimulant acting enhacing the individual concentration and on the reduction of fatigue perception with could be an importante ally of fighters. The objetive of this study was analyze the effect of a coffee 10% infused on the performance of chinese boxe practioners. Were evaluated nine male individuals with 34,22 ±8,67 years old, 81,9 ±12,38 kilos, divided in three groups beein group 0: without coffee, group 100: 100ml of coffee, group 300: 300ml of coffee and after 45 minutes of the consumption were evaluated agility, maximal force, anaerobic potency and VO2 max in a battery of tests. The results showed the group 100 enhaced you performance in a similar way the group 300 on the VO2 max when compared with the group 0. So it was possible note that in the sample of the present study, 100ml of coffee was capale to cause positive effects on the individual performance.
