Supplementation and performance in crossfit praticants
Abstract
Introduction: CrossFit® is an increasingly popular physical training franchise in the world. However, it is a relatively new modality with few studies with scientific rigor. Aim: The aim of this article was to investigate the effects of supplementation on the performance of crossfit® exercises. Materials and methods: Therefore, a literature review was carried out in electronic data bases with the crossfit, And intake, crossfit and nutrition. Results: Seventeen potentially relevant articles were found in the first stage, but four clinical trials contemplated the methodological rigor required to analyze the proposed outcome. Conclusion: Based on the trials selected for this study, it was concluded that supplementation improved performance in crossfit® athletes, but there were no changes in muscle strength, muscle mass and VO2 max.
